Salesforce is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that helps you connect and engage with your customers and prospects. The Salesforce App Connector lets you sync contacts, leads, opportunities, tasks, orders, products, and campaigns between your Salesforce account and other third-party app accounts.
Specifications
Before you connect your Salesforce account with Integry, here are a few things you need to learn about the Salesforce App Connector.
Authorization Type
Salesforce uses the OAuth authorization method. When you set up an integration, you need to allow Integry to access your Salesforce account.
Your Salesforce account needs to be API-enabled. Otherwise, you won't be able to access data from external applications. Therefore, you can use your production or developer's account to test Flows and create integrations. Learn how to enable API access in Salesforce.
Trigger Type
Salesforce triggers are poll-based. Integry will send a request to Salesforce every 5 minutes to collect data. In case of an occurrence of selected events, a trigger will be received at Integry with the required payload. When you setup an integration (in which Salesforce acts as a trigger application) and perform an action in Salesforce, expect a 5-minute delay for the trigger to be received at Integry.
Limitations
Following are the limitations in the Salesforce App Connector as yet.
- Boolean type custom fields are not supported for field mapping.
- Sandbox environment is not supported for Flow testing.
- If you try to connect an account that is not API enabled, you won't be able to authenticate your account.
